MISS AMERICA, CARA MUND, WILL BE AT THE 2018 CHAMPIONS RIDE MATCH!
MAKE YOUR PLANS TODAY!
Guess what? It’s early but this might just be a good time make plans to attend the Home on the Range Champions Match Ride rodeo on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 1 p.m. MST in Sentinel Butte, ND. That’s because it’s going to be kind of a big deal.
But, you say, you’re too busy to plan to attend an event that is that far down the road? Well, you can’t possibly be busier than Miss America, Cara Mund, and she’s going to be there. And that in itself is a big deal.
For you, this trip will be well worth it.
You see, when it comes to Cara Mund, it’s not just about returning to her home state. Because, let’s face it, she’s not the one that controls her travel schedule. The Miss America Organization does that.
And it’s not just about watching the top bronc riders in the world compete for the largest bronc-riding payout in professional rodeo in August, although that too is a big deal.
It’s really about disadvantaged kids, some of whom come from homes so broken that they’ve never received a birthday or Christmas present. Or they’ve found themselves going down roads towards some level of destruction.
Yep, this is all about raising funds for a ranch that helps create hope and redirects broken lives towards a new promising path. HOTR has been doing that for hundreds of kids over six or more decades, so they know exactly what they’re doing.
And Special Cowboy Moments, the television show that airs each week in primetime on Wednesdays and Sundays on RFD-TV, is bringing Miss America there to focus on that cause. And in the meantime, it will being documenting her southwestern North Dakota rodeo experience, to air soon thereafter.
So you see it’s all good stuff. The only questionable part is whether or not you’ll be part of it. But you can solve that problem right now by calling for tickets at (701) 872-3745. You’ll be glad you did.
Calling all rodeo fans, cowboys, cowpokes, buckaroos, city-slickers and everyone else! If you want to see the best saddle-bronc match in North Dakota, come on down and join the fun at the Champions Ride Saddle Bronc Match Rodeo at Sentinel Butte on August 4, 2018 at 1:00 P.M MDT.
For 62 years the Match has been a premiere event with top ranked professional cowboys who are invited to ride the toughest saddle broncs in the region. Some fans claim the Match is a pre-show of the Wrangler National Finals saddle-bronc riding. In fact, since the first rodeo, every world champion, except one, has competed at the Champions Ride Match Rodeo.
The real reason behind the Champions Ride Match Rodeo? To raise money and awareness for the troubled, neglected, abused and disadvantaged boys and girls that call Home On The Range “home.” While the children are at Home On The Range, the professional staff teach the children socially acceptable skills, help them work through problems and issues of concern, and show them how to make choices that will positively impact their lives. Their program goal is simple – help the child and family, so they can be reunited as a strong and healthy family unit.
So make your plans to attend the 62nd Anniversary HOTR Champions Ride Saddle Bronc Match on August 4, 2018. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs, sit back and enjoy a premiere saddle-bronc match. It all happens at the HOTR rodeo arena. Take Exit #7 on I-94, west of Medora, North Dakota. Or, click here for directions.
